I recently took an amazing, whirlwind trip to Costa Rica and fell in love with the country. There is so much to see, to do and to eat. I’m always up for any destination with great coffee, but I now want Costa Rica on the top of everyone’s bucket list.
1) Activities
Costa Rica is on every adventure lover’s bucket list, but it really offers something for everyone not just thrill seekers and backpackers. While in Costa Rica, I went hiking, zip-lining, took both a mixology class and coffee class and got one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Beyond the activities that I experienced, there is surfing, kayaking, white water rafting, canyoning and bird watching (just to name a few). If you’re a sun seeker, there are tons of amazing beaches to relax on.

2) Hotels
I stayed at two amazing hotels during my trip. The first, Nayara Springs, made me wonder why I traveled half way across the world to Bora Bora for my honeymoon. Each villa has a private plunge pooled filled with untouched water from the volcanic hot springs. The views are stunning, and the service is impeccable. The second, Andaz Peninsula Papagayo, is sleek and modern yet rustic and charming. The pools are gorgeous and were more than enough, but a brand-new beach house is opening in December!

1) Food
Everything I ate on this trip was delicious. Costa Rica is becoming a serious foody destination! Everything is fresh and prepared with considerable care. Both hotels offered mixology classes and coffee classes. From the local cuisine to the sushi at Nayara Springs, everything was top notch!
