Recently, I've been planning some amazing Italian honeymoons! All of these amazing trips have inspired me to plan the PERFECT Italian honeymoon. Italy is a very romantic place to start your life together. If you have twelve nights to spend exploring Italy, this itinerary is perfect for you!
Two Nights in Rome
Rome is a loud, crowded city with countless historic sights, museums and restaurants as well as the Vatican. Rome is typically the easiest arrival destination in Italy with many direct flights from the US, and with so much history, it should not be missed. Stay at the J.K. Place Roma for a chic and comfortable start to your honeymoon.
Four Nights in Positano
Spend four glorious days and nights exploring the romantic Amalfi Coast. Positano is the perfect base to explore the entire area. Take a boat ride to Capri and head up the cliffs to Ravello for an Italian cooking class. The Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful and glamorous parts of Italy and is the perfect way to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean. Splurge and stay at the famous Le Sirenuse.
Two Nights in Florence
After relaxing and getting a healthy dose of sunshine in Positano, take a quick flight to Florence. Florence was the heart of the Italian Renaissance. The city is overflowing with art and culture all centered around the Duomo. Like Rome, no trip to Italy is completely without a stop in Florence. To keep the romance flowing, stay at the Grand Amore Hotel.
Four Nights in Tuscany
After two nights in Florence, head to the Tuscan countryside for some relaxation, sun and wine. Stay at the Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco outside of Siena. This hotel is one of the oldest and best-preserved working wine estates in Tuscany. With a beautiful pool and spa, this is the perfect place to pamper yourself. The restaurants serve food straight from the kitchen garden which makes this dreamy estate even more perfect.
